Famous Indian singer KK dies of heart attack

Famous Indian singer KK (Krishna Kumar Kunnath), 53, passed away on Tuesday night due to a heart attack. According to the Times of India, he died of a heart attack soon after performing at a live concert in Kolkata.

He was taken to the Kolkata Medical Research Institute after his health deteriorated after the concert. He died on the way to the hospital.

After he reached Kolkata, his family lodged a complaint with the concerned authorities. An autopsy will be conducted in Kolkata with the permission of his family. It is being said that his body will be taken to Mumbai. He is survived by his wife and two children.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that she will extend all possible help to the family of the deceased. She has sung in Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati films.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind have expressed grief over KK’s demise. Kek Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Tadap Tadpal and other songs are popular in different languages.
