The United Kingdom has agreed to take nurses as workers only after concluding a labor agreement with Nepal.

A meeting between Nepali and British officials in Kathmandu on Friday agreed to move the recruitment process of nurses forward. Both sides have taken the process forward to reach a labor agreement.

According to Thaneshwar Bhusal, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, who participated in the meeting, there is no cost to visit a nurse.

The meeting did not decide how many nurses would be sent to the UK. It was agreed to a labor agreement. Nurses going to the UK do not have to pay any fees. The UK will bear the cost of the selected nurses preparing for the language test.

Nurses selected from Nepal will have to pass an examination conducted by the British Health Council after going to the UK.
